Signals & Systems (India) Private Limited commonly known as SANDS is primarily a technology company manufacturing niche products using embedded technology for the Generation, Transmission & Distribution segments of the Power Industry. On the Services front we specialize in Meter Data Analytics for the Power Distribution companies, to curb Energy thefts and fraud management. We also undertake testing of Energy meters at site on behalf of the utilities as part of the regulatory guidelines.
Our core guiding principle has been ‘Make Global Standard Products in India” ever since the inception of the company. We’ve received several accolades and recognition for the innovative products that we’ve designed and manufactured in India. Most of our products have been first of its kind in the country. We have over a decade, entered into the Industrial segment with solutions for effective management of their Energy needs.

Dr.L R Rajagopal has a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, and obtained Masters and Doctoral degrees from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, in 1984 and 1987 respectively. In recognition of his work, he was awarded Prof. M N Saha award by Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), India. He has also worked as collaborating scientist with Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, for about eight years, and for about a year with Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
Dr L R Rajagopal has been actively involved in promoting communication protocol standards Electronic Meters in India, and has served as the Chairman of the subcommittee on Protocol Standards, Central Board for Irrigation and Power (CBIP). He was actively involved in Best Practices Committee of Ministry of Power, which conducted national seminars in promoting loss reduction programmes for various electric utilities in India.
We have contributed to a medical trust that’s run by a woman and focuses on women’s health and works towards reducing infant mortality. The trust provides a safe and healthy environment for women of lower economic strata at a subsidised fee

Manvasanai makes healthy foods from organic ingredients. It provides employment to several women in its unit. It also works towards spreading awareness about Tamil Nadu’s native crops and preserving them.
